1. Camera and Face Data (AR Functionality)
Vocal Vortex uses the device’s TrueDepth API and camera to track your facial expressions (e.g., smiling, opening mouth) as part of the core gameplay mechanics.
- Data Usage: Facial data is processed in real-time on your device solely for the purpose of gameplay (detecting if you match the required expression).
- Data Storage: We do not store, record, or share your facial data. All processing happens locally on your device.
- Data Sharing: Face data is never shared with third parties.
2. Microphone and Speech Data
Vocal Vortex uses the device’s microphone to capture your voice for speech recognition purposes.
- Data Usage: Audio is processed to recognize the words you speak during the game to verify pronunciation.
- Speech Recognition Services: We use Apple’s Speech framework and/or Google Cloud Speech-to-Text to process audio. Audio data may be sent to these providers for temporary processing to convert speech to text.
- Data Storage: We do not permanently store your voice recordings on our servers.
3. Screen Recording
Vocal Vortex allows you to record your gameplay, including audio and video of yourself, to share with others.
- Data Usage: Recordings are created only at your request.
- Data Storage: Recordings are saved locally to your device’s Photos library or temporary storage. We do not upload your gameplay videos to our servers.
- Data Sharing: You control sharing. Videos are only shared if you explicitly choose to share them via your device’s native sharing menu.
4. Analytics and Advertising
We may use third-party services such as Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics to display advertisements and improve our app.
- AdMob: May collect data such as device identifiers (IDFA), coarse location, and usage data to serve personalized ads.
